Team Rembrandts FIRST Championship

About Team Rembrandts

Team Rembrandts is a community based FIRST Robotics Competition team in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The team started competing in FRC during the 2013 season, since then they have grown rapidly and aim to be true ambassadors of FIRST. The team has 75 active members and is structured like an SME, enabling all of the members to actively explore their interests in different departments within the team.

Within the team, I'm active in the Business and Media department, primarily focusing on Media & Branding. I contribute to the production of new content, coming up with concepts, filming, and editing. In addition, I regularly take part in STEAM promotion events in the region, such as Hotspot Hightech Helmond, the Maker Days, and various events hosted by partner companies.

The FIRST World Championship

The FIRST World Championship is an annual event where all of the qualified teams across the world from the three different FIRST programmes. For me, the Championship is the highlightof the season. Being surrounded by 50,000 people that share the same interest in STEAM and wanting to achieve the same is incredible.

Managing the socials

During the week of the Championship, I had the task to manage the social media accounts of the team. This included making photos and videos and desiging the posts. I wanted to make it visualsed to others who have never been to the Championship how big and impressive the entire event is. Having the opportunity to make photos in the game area made me realise how impressive the size is of the event.

Practice and qualification days

The first two days of the Championship are the practice and qualification days. In order to share this in a different way than simply uploading pictures, I made a template with different styles.
